Why It Matters

This issue introduces Deadpool (Wade Wilson), alongside the first appearances of Gideon and Copycat (Vanessa Carlysle), appearing as Domino, as recorded on the CGC label. Copycat is impersonating Domino in this issue; the appearance should be understood in that context. The label also notes Rictor's departure from the New Mutants.

The photographed copy carries the newsstand barcode and the $1.00 US / $1.25 Canadian cover price, and CGC identifies it as a Newsstand Edition. Rob Liefeld's cover places Deadpool at the centre of the character line-up. The rear cover features an advertisement for The Punisher Nintendo Entertainment System game.

Collector Notes

This is a single CGC-encapsulated comic. Please inspect both photographs for the cover presentation, label details and visible holder condition. CGC's numerical grade describes the comic, rather than guaranteeing a flawless plastic holder; reflections and photographic glare can affect how the holder appears. Further close-up photographs can be requested before purchase.

The certification number, grade, white page designation and newsstand identification above are transcribed from the photographed CGC label. The exact copy pictured is the copy supplied.
