Why It Matters

The cover recasts the composition of Amazing Fantasy #15 with Spawn, combining McFarlane's linework with a predominantly monochrome presentation and yellow title lettering. CGC identifies this edition as Sketch Cover and explicitly notes the Amazing Fantasy #15 cover homage.

The issue belongs to Spawn's 20th anniversary period and continues Jim Downing's story as he grapples with his powers and past. The CGC label also records a Tremor appearance. For collectors of Spawn, McFarlane covers and comic-cover homages, the edition, artwork and 9.8 white-page designation are the defining details of this copy.
