A scarce late-1950s horror/superhero reprint from I.W. Publishing / Super Comics. Purple Claw #8 was published in 1958 and republishes earlier 1953 Toby pre-Code Purple Claw material featuring Dr. Jonathan Weir, the Purple Claw.

The dramatic cover is credited to Ben Brown with inks by David Gantz and was originally used on Purple Claw #3 in 1953. The interior largely reprints material from the earlier Toby series, including stories originally published in Purple Claw #1.
